Looking for Senior Full Stack Developer with the heart at the right place – BERLIN BYTES is hiring

Challenging times demand great ideas. We, at Berlin Bytes, have been working hard the last couple of weeks to come up with ideas how we can support the people of our community and all of us to come out stronger. Our ideas are ambitions and thrilling, but without the best team it will be difficult to turn them into reality! This is where you come into play. 🙂

To make it short, we are creative studio from Berlin, looking to expand our team in the direction of development – may it be Frontend and Backend Development.

Our partners, clients and success stories extend all around the Globe. You will be part of our family with more than other 15 professionals offering the perfect mix of tech and creativity – on and between the lines.
We take beautiful designs as our base to develop fantastic products, realizing projects from simple websites, applications to softwares, are developing branding- & advertisement-material and much much more.

What you will do:

From websites to full-fledged ecommerce solutions and custom-built applications, we cover it all – so the more you are interested in, the more fun you will have. But don’t worry, you won’t be alone doing all that! We already have a team of developers, but with changing requirements, higher interest from clients, and our goal to provide higher quality output, we are looking for someone that will support the team on a more senior level.

Our Tech Stack (so far – not limited to):

• besides the classic html, css etc.
• We love the javascript stack (vue, angular, react, node..)
• Python
• Go
• PHP
• native and hybrid mobile app development languages

Where we will need your support:

• obviously write awesome code 😉
• prepare development plans upfront (decide which route to take basically)
• turn client / user stories in workable items for the development team or help them understand which direction to take best
• support them team with quality improvements (code review and others)
• and much more..

What you should bring

Before anything else, you should love what you do. We want to feel that fire of diving deep into creating beautiful products and growing with the challenges. We all burn for what we do at Berlin Bytes – Seriously, why bother otherwise?

Joy, honesty, reliability and commitment are important values for us. We work hard, we grow and fall together, we laugh and fight together, but at the end of the day, we are in this journey together and that requires that each and one of us is there with his heart.

Berlin Bytes is an international team, so speaking English fluently is key for all of us to be able to communicate. German is a plus, as most of our clients are from Germany, but definitely not a must

As this is no beginner position either, we are looking forward to hearing from your past experiences. Skills can be learned, but the experience is at least as valuable and we are looking for someone with experience at hand.

This doesn’t need to be right from the start – but we are looking for someone in the long term to take a role as a lead developer that becomes the core of what the developers do. Not to mistake with a lack of experience on our side – we just felt it was good to get someone in with even more and support our dev team to excel even more.

Practical Points

To start off, we are looking for someone to extend our team on at least a 50% half time position – if possible full time. All other things can be discussed when we meet!
