About us

Making large-scale 3D printing an affordable reality for small to medium-sized business was the dream that launched BigRep in 2014. A few employees in a Berlin loft built the BigRep ONE printer prototype that kick-started the business. Now almost 100 employees in three locations work together in our industrial 3D printer manufacturing company and three printer models have already been released.

We are one of the most recognizable large-scale 3D printing brands and have been successfully transitioning from prototype to end-use part production. We believe that success as a manufacturer in this space means offering customers not just a machine for additive manufacturing but a complete digital production solution.

To make this a reality we have assembled a team of experts in marketing, design, innovation, software, control systems and hardware. Many of us come from the 3D printing industry but all of us share a deep interest and passion in all things 3D printing related and want to be part of this next chapter in manufacturing history.

Your mission

Help shape the next generation of industrial production built on BigRep’s 3D printing systems and solutions. Integrate software and hardware tightly to achieve best in class performance and print quality. Architect, build and enhance BigRep’s product platform and technology foundation. We are looking for a full-time Full Stack Developer (m/f/d) to join us as soon as possible.

• You will take over the team lead position in our software team
• You will lead, support and mentor your team
• You will collaborate within cross-functional teams to develop and implement new features
• You will ensure and maintain code quality and integrity by appropriate measures
• You will be implementing features that incorporate security and data protection

Your profile

• As part of a multi-disciplinary, full-stack, development team you must have knowledge in all stages of software development
• You have a strong knowledge of Python with any backend framework, preferably Flask
• You have a strong knowledge of Javascript with any frontend framework, preferably React
• You have profound experience with the JS ecosystem: NodeJS, npm, sass/less, Cypress or any other testing framework
• You have profound experience writing automated tests (unit, integration, e2e)
• You have worked with (No-)SQL and/or SQL databases
• You are comfortable working with Git
• You successfully completed your engineering or computer science degree or gained comparable work experience
• You can speak and write English fluently
• You already gained professional experience in agile teams
• Open communication, giving and receiving feedback (e.g., code reviews) is natural for you
• You are pragmatic and solution oriented, your decisions are data driven
• You developed a sense of code quality

These skills would be a plus:

• Experience in leading and managing tech teams
• Experience with GitLab and container deployment
• Deployment, operation and maintenance of server applications running on Linux
• Experience in building IOT and industry 4.0 applications
• Experience in data processing, image processing, data science, machine learning, data visualization
• Experience with OPC-UA or other industrial communication protocols
• First hand UX/UI experience and/or experience in working with designers and realizing and HMI design (“pixel perfect”)
• Experience in C++
• Experience in 3D printing and/or 3D modeling/CAD/scanning
• Scrum certifications or similar
• Knowledge of Atlassian tool chain
