GLOBALS Tech Festival 2027 will return during MWC Barcelona (former Mobile World Congress) week with a special anniversary edition designed to connect founders, investors, corporates, institutions, media and international tech communities across the city. The fifth anniversary of GSTF will also mark 15 years of Club GLOBALS, the European-born community connecting entrepreneurs and technology leaders across borders.

Barcelona does not need another tech event during MWC. It already has the density, the money, the founders, the corporate buyers, the investors, the governments, the media and the after-hours conversations that turn a business trip into a breakthrough.

What it does need is better connection.

That is the bet behind the 2027 edition of GLOBALS Tech Festival, which will mark its fifth anniversary by expanding across Barcelona during the week of MWC & 4YFN. The special edition will also coincide with 15 years of Club GLOBALS, the international community founded in 2012 to connect entrepreneurs, investors, corporates, institutions and technology leaders around the world’s most relevant innovation gatherings.

MWC Barcelona 2027 is scheduled for 1 to 4 March 2027 at Fira Gran Via, with 4YFN taking place during the same dates in Hall 8. GSMA positions MWC as the world’s leading connectivity event, with more than 100,000 decision-makers expected in Barcelona. The 2026 edition drew nearly 105,000 attendees from 207 countries and territories, alongside 2,900 exhibitors, sponsors and partners, and more than 1,700 speakers.

For anyone building, funding or scaling a technology company, that week is already one of Europe’s most concentrated windows of opportunity. The challenge is not the number of qualified people in Barcelona. The challenge is finding them inside a sea of meetings, side events, crowded rooms and competing agendas. For founders, investors and tech leaders, value rarely comes from being everywhere. It comes from being in the right conversation at the right moment with the right people for their specific goals.

GSTF 2027 is being designed around that problem.

A citywide festival for a city already living technology

What began five years ago as a community-driven tech gathering will become a distributed festival across Barcelona, with a strong presence in the city’s innovation district, 22@.

The programme will bring together GLOBALS-led activities and partner-hosted experiences across innovation hubs, corporate spaces, universities, investor venues, international communities and institutions.

The goal is simple: help people find each other during one of the busiest weeks of the year.

Founders come to Barcelona looking for capital. Corporates come looking for technology. Investors come looking for companies worth backing. Governments come to build bridges. Communities come to be seen, and to turn that visibility into real relationships.

The format reflects what MWC week has become. The main congress is the gravitational centre. 4YFN gives startups their own orbit. Around them, the whole city lights up with activations, dinners, meetings, parties and late-night conversations.

That universe is already alive. But thousands of people move through Barcelona with ideas, capital, talent, ambition and curiosity, often missing each other by a few streets, a few hours, or the wrong room.

GSTF27 is designed to connect those dots.

By curating routes, access and shared moments across the city, the festival will help founders, investors, corporates, institutions and tech communities find each other more naturally.

Because there is another way of doing business. One where people do not just exchange cards and chase meetings. They share a table, walk through the city, dance after a long day, talk without a timer, and build the kind of trust that makes things happen later.

GSTF27 wants to make Barcelona feel like one connected constellation during MWC week: easier to move through, more alive, and more human.

Curated access, not just more access

The 2027 edition will introduce different levels of access through wristbands, allowing attendees to experience the festival according to their profile, goals and priorities.

The idea is simple: more activity does not automatically create more value. A founder raising a seed round does not need the same route as a corporate innovation lead looking for pilots. A delegation exploring Europe does not need the same access as a VC partner, a media editor or a government representative.

GSTF will use curated access to help participants move toward the conversations that are most relevant to them, whether the objective is fundraising, market entry, partnership building, media visibility, ecosystem discovery or long-term international collaboration.

The festival is being built as an ecosystem platform, not a closed event. Its role is to help local and global players meet with more intention during a week when Barcelona is already full of possibility.

GLOBALS content, partner experiences and voices from the field

Alongside the distributed agenda, GLOBALS will produce its own content and experiences during the week, including recorded interviews with international technology leaders, strategic sessions, founder-investor meetings, networking formats and selected community gatherings.

The content will not live on one stage. It will move through the city.

Some activities will be led directly by GLOBALS. Others will be created with ecosystem partners. Together, they will form one shared narrative: connecting the people building the next phase of technology, entrepreneurship and innovation.

For GLOBALS Media, this also creates a stronger editorial layer around the festival. The week will offer interviews, founder stories, investor perspectives, ecosystem intelligence and conversations that can travel beyond the room through GLOBALS.tv, the newsletter, podcasts and partner channels.

GSTF27 will be a meeting places, stages and cameras.

The midweek GLOBALS gathering

One of the central moments of the 2027 edition will be a major GLOBALS experience in the middle of the week, designed as a point of convergence for communities, delegations, partners, speakers, investors, corporates and institutions.

The gathering will mark both the fifth anniversary of GLOBALS Tech Festival and the 15th anniversary of Club GLOBALS. The team is preparing a larger production, international artists and a format built to celebrate the people and organizations that have shaped the community so far.

The tone is celebratory, but the purpose remains practical: bring the right people together while the week is still alive, when meetings can still be made, introductions can still be acted on and opportunities can still move forward before everyone flies home.

It will be a moment to recognize the past five years of GSTF, but also to open the next cycle.

Why Barcelona is the right stage

Barcelona has spent years becoming one of Europe’s most visible meeting points for technology, entrepreneurship, design, mobility and digital policy. During MWC week, that role becomes impossible to miss.

The city receives founders from every continent, global operators, venture capital firms, public institutions, scaleups, corporate innovation teams, startup communities and media. 4YFN adds a dedicated startup and investor layer, positioning itself around founders, investors and corporates turning innovation into business outcomes.

This density is valuable, but it can also be noisy. A week with thousands of meetings can easily become a week of missed opportunities.

GLOBALS Tech Festival 2027 is being shaped around a practical question: how can Barcelona’s MWC week become easier to navigate, more useful for international growth and more connected for the communities already contributing to it?

What participants can expect

GSTF 2027 will include:

  • A distributed agenda across more than 20 Barcelona locations
  • Activities led by GLOBALS and selected ecosystem partners
  • Curated access levels through wristbands
  • Founder, investor, corporate and delegation-focused routes
  • Recorded interviews and media moments with international tech leaders
  • Private and semi-private networking formats
  • Strategic sessions around growth, visibility, partnerships and global expansion
  • A major midweek GLOBALS anniversary gathering
  • Stronger connection with Barcelona’s innovation districts, communities and institutions

The experience is designed for people who want more than attendance. It is for those who arrive in Barcelona looking to build relationships that continue after MWC week ends.

The Awakening

For its 5th anniversary, GLOBALS Tech Festival returns as what it has always been: the annual gathering of GLOBALS during one of the most important technology weeks in the world. In 2027, it also marks 15 years of Club GLOBALS, a European-born community built from founders to founders on one belief: the right people, in the right room, at the right moment, can change the direction of a company, a market, sometimes a life.

This is the spirit behind this year’s theme: Bull Mode. A tribute to what founders carry before anyone sees the result: pressure, instinct, sacrifice, pride, survival, and the decision to rise again. The bull carries the memory of the arena, of being tested in public, watched, judged and pushed to the edge. Founders know that place: the silence after rejection, the private doubt, the version of themselves that had to die so the next one could build. And still, they return with something alive.

That is why GSTF27 is being built as a week of connection, visibility and shared experience. A place for builders, investors, partners and communities to find each other, be seen, celebrate what survived, and decide what comes next. Technology can save lives, expand knowledge, improve how people live, open new worlds and bring people closer across borders. But it still needs people brave enough to build with it.

The people GSTF27 is designed to connect are already moving.
The rooms are forming.
The next cycle is opening.

GSTF27 is an invitation to turn your Bull Mode on.
