GITEX Europe 2025: Club GLOBALS Highlights
GITEX EUROPE 2025: The Numbers That Mattered
Skip the fluff—here’s the data worth knowing:
- Attendees: 22,000+ (yes, it was packed)
- Exhibitors: 1,400+ from across deep tech, AI, smart cities, and startup land
- Countries represented: 100+
- Startups: 145+ trying to get noticed in a sea of noise
- Conference Tracks: 8 (a few standouts, a few snoozers)
- VCs and Investors: 530+ hunting for what’s next (and not just AI clones)
Something cool? The Dj playing at the main entrance.
The scale was big. The challenge? Cutting through it to make meaningful connections. Luckily, that’s our jam at Club GLOBALS.
While others were handing out flyers, GLOBALS was in motion—literally. Our Berlin edition of GLOBALS On Tour during GITEX Europe 2025 wasn’t just another booth activation—it was curated chaos turned into business momentum.
📅 Thursday, May 22
🕚 11:00 – 12:00: GITEX Guided Tour
We kicked off at our booth (Hall 4.2, Stand H4.2-51) and led a curated walk through the madness. This wasn’t just sightseeing—it was strategic matchmaking in motion, spotlighting AI innovators, deep-tech disruptors, and potential collaboration zones for our GLOBALS community.
🕔 17:00 – 18:00: Pitch in the Bus → Venture Café
Startups had just 1 minute to pitch while weaving through Berlin traffic—with no less than The Pitch Doctor Christoph Sollich and Christoph Raethke, aka the Father of Berlin Startups, riding shotgun as jury.
Was it chaotic? 100%.
Was it valuable? Even more.
We rolled into Venture Café, and the convos spilled over into craft beer and follow-ups. Because in our world, deals start with real talk, not flashy slides. Later, Christoph Sollich transformed the atmosphere with his signature “Pitchlimpics” show. Four daring participants from the bus took the stage, delivering rapid-fire pitches that combined innovation with entertainment. The audience was captivated, and the energy was electric, setting the tone for the rest of the evening.
📅 Friday, May 23
🕔 17:00 – 18:00: Pitch in the Bus → IHK to Berlin 2035 Open Office
Same concept, new twist. Another round of fast-fire pitches—this time judged by 2 legends: Mike Butcher (former Editor-At-Large, TechCrunch) and Michael Brehm (Founding Partner, Redstone VC).
Once we hit IHK’s Berlin 2035 Open Office, we shifted gears: strategic conversations on EU market access, investment gaps, and Berlin’s actual path to becoming Europe’s innovation capital. Less fluff, more friction—the good kind. Christoph Sollich once again took the helm for a second round of “Pitchlimpics.” This time, the event featured none other than Mike Butcher and Margaux Miller among participants, adding a twist of seasoned insight to the competition. Their involvement brought a unique perspective, blending experience with the event’s spirited format.
🕗 20:00: Afterparty – Millennials Celebration @ Fast Lane
The finale. No name tags. No decks. Just founders, investors, and ecosystem builders kicking back after two days of hardcore networking and some serious dancing.
