All about the role:
As our Senior Java Backend Developer, you’ll be part of a talented Scrum team working to give partner restaurants access to Scoober – our dedicated delivery fleet.
That means improving and optimising our mobile and web applications, ensuring our logistics operation runs smoothly, from Poland to Portugal!
In this exciting and varied role, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Build systems and algorithms used by drivers across our markets
- Work with important logistical challenges: e.g. – routing, shift planning, scheduling
- Help improve development practices in our backend community
- Boost your expertise in key topics like Continuous Integration, Microservices, DDD, Event-Driven Architecture and RESTful APIs
- Collaborate with team members through pair programming, code reviews and knowledge sharing sessions
Can you deliver…
Ready to take on the role? Then here’s what we’re looking for from you:
- 3+ years’ experience as a developer
- Experience writing Microservices
- Familiar with Spring, Kafka/Rabbit or similar and SQL/NoSQL
- An interest in Reactive Programming and Domain-Driven Design
- Knowledge of continuous deployment using AWS or similar platforms
- Enjoy collaborating in a team environment
