Our new SaaS product 9am is a platform for all freelancers, offering them better jobs, less admin and a more organized freelancer life with everything in one place. For businesses, 9am is an easy way to manage their freelancer network and talent providers, and centrally organize their legal, compliance, and financial issues when working with freelancers.

As a Lead Community Manager focusing on growth, you’ll be responsible for sourcing and interviewing our community applicants, but also plan our future community growth. You’ll have the chance to develop your own community growth strategy and bring your expertise to execute on it. You’re a people person, a strong networker and have an entrepreneurial mindset, while also being able to dive into numbers and make data driven decisions.

Leading a small team and reporting directly to our Founder/CEO Marc Clemens, be part of an exciting journey to improve the future of work. 9am is a brand new community so this is an opportunity to develop and build it from scratch and help freelancers to thrive in their development through meaningful projects.

What you’ll do

• Develop and build our new 9am community from scratch, while maintaining our existing CodeControl community
• Create a community engagement strategy and then project manage the implementation of it
• Lead a small team to help deliver on your strategy
• Outreach to potential partners and communities
• Maintain a high quality of new talent in the community
• Encourage our talent to refer other talent and follow-up on those
• Ensure that our most promising talent have individual support in their freelance career

What we’re looking for

• Experience in building a community, whether online or offline such as a co-working space
• Experience developing and implementing new initiatives for a community
• Someone who thrives with both strategy and being a hands on doer
• Great written and verbal communication skills and a relationship builder

• Goal-oriented and proactive
• Adaptability and ambition to take on more responsibility
• An understanding of tech roles and career options in tech is a plus, such as a basic understanding of different types of developers
• Fluent in English
• Based in Europe time zones or similar
