Orange, belonging to France Telecom Group, is the alternative operator on the Spanish market and one of the largest foreign investors in the telecommunications industry, with more than 13,000 million euros of investment in recent years.

With a strategy based on innovation and sustainable development, launching products and services that facilitate saving both individuals and businesses and improving the customer experience, Orange is a key player in the sector in Spain, where it serves nearly 13 million users 11,879,000, mobile and broadband 1,086,000 at the end of 2009.

Orange customers, both individuals and businesses, enjoy the most advanced products and services in mobile, fixed, broadband internet TV and ADSL. All these activities the company reported a nearby business to 4,000 million euros in 2009.

Orange was also the first carrier’s network to reach agreements with MVNOs, among which include companies such as Carrefour, The Phone House, Day, KPN, Jazztel, etc. Today is the operator that serves a greater number of MVNO customers, with more than 752,000.

In the market for broadband, Orange was a milestone in June 2007 with the acquisition of Ya.com, solidifying its position as the second largest ADSL alternative operator in Spain and with greater growth potential. That same year, Orange acquired the operator Al-Pi to the Generalitat de Catalunya. This agreement has enabled Orange strengthen its presence in this region making a significant commitment to innovation. Orange Catalonia (formerly Al-Pi) has become a competence center for business management business in the rest of the state, the development of advanced corporate voice over IP solutions, and technical management of next generation networks.
