Pylmon Barcelona

Our classes are based on communicative method and a course book according to each level, we also use our own didactic materials designed by our academic coordinator and the team of Spanish teachers. Reduced size groups, the average number of students per class is 6 and maximum 8 (10 in high season). Our teachers have gone through a strict selection process. We care to give you the best quality and we recruit only native teachers, who are original from Spain, university graduates that completed a specialised training to teach Spanish as a foreign language. But above all, they love what they do, their work is their passion! We have been working with the same team of teachers for more than 3 years and they are the best!

This is the best kept secret of Pylmon school. Every week we organise for our students two activities, which are completely free of charge: a cultural class every Wednesday and our famous Club Social Pylmon held on Thursday’s evenings. Get a different vision of Barcelona sharing a moment with other Pylmon’s students and enjoy a relaxed, entertaining activity.

All of our accommodation facilities, both shared apartments and host families, are carefully selected and regularly reviewed. We analyse in details the profile of each student and match it individually with a family or an apartment that most suits your preferences.

Music Together Barcelona

Piero F.

At Music Together, we understand the importance of music in early childhood—from birth, in fact. Because the truth is, most people are born with enough music aptitude to play in a symphony orchestra when they are adults, if they choose. But first we must learn how to “speak music”—to take the musical instrument we all have, ourselves, developing that musical capacity from a very young age. The sounds we make, our movements, our rhythms—these are the building blocks of music and of early childhood learning. And that’s what Music Together is all about.

Music is more than instruments and voices. It’s more than rhythm and movement. Music is a powerful force that can inspire, create community, and build family bonds. And it can be life-changing to develop our inner music-maker as early as possible.

All graduates earn an American diploma, while some choose to also pursue the Co-validation Program, which prepares them for Spanish university entrance exams. Most choose the IB Diploma Program, which grants them access to Spanish universities as well as to universities around the world. The school has scored above the IBDP world average every year since it started granting the diploma in 2009. ASB also recently passed with very positive reviews the IBO’s five year accreditation process.

Universitat Pompeu Fabra

Jaume C.

Our university is young, modern and unequivocally public. As you browse this website, you will find information on an institution that the Catalan government founded in 1990 to offer training of the very highest quality, and which has seen its research activity increase substantially since then.

The result today is a specialized university that has interconnected a unique approach to teaching with cutting-edge research, revolving around three closely linked spheres of knowledge, namely social sciences and humanities (at the Ciutadella campus), information and communication sciences and technologies (at the Poblenou campus) and health and life sciences (at the Mar campus). To carry out all that activity, the University is organized into seven faculties, a polytechnic school, eight departments and three university institutes. In recent years, meanwhile, the University has also been part of the UPF Group, a network of institutions and centres specializing in education, research and transfer, each of which has its own legal personality and brings added value to our university project.

With a view to boosting the impetus and raising the international profile of research and transfer activities initiated within UPF, the University is currently developing the UPF Research Park, which works in the fields of social sciences, humanities, communication and IT. Located on the Ciutadella and Poblenou campuses, the UPF Research Park operates in coordination with the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park, which is based on the Mar campus and works in the fields of health and life sciences.

To keep this message brief, I would like to conclude by encouraging you to use the information on this website to find out all about our institution, and by inviting you to visit our campuses and interact with our community. Each individual’s participation helps us ensure that our university constantly improves.

As well as spacious classrooms, student common room and Internet café, our school has a large patio and extensive roof-top sun terraces – very popular with our students at break time and after class.

All the teachers at our school are native Spanish speakers, with a university degree and specific training in the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language. The maximum class size at our school is just 10, with an average of 7 students per group.

We organise a range of guided walks, visits and other activities for our students, not only to help you practise out of class the Spanish that you learn on your Spanish course at our school, but also to make sure that you really enjoy your time in Barcelona!

We treat every one of the students at our school as an individual, carefully assessing their level of Spanish before they start their course, as well as continuously checking afterwards, to see if they are happy on their course and in their accommodation.
